- Method of experimental measurement of Point Spread Function (PSF) due to scintillator for high-energy protons.
- Abstract
- In proton radiography (including proton microscopy) there is an effect of blurring that degrades final images. The blurring is caused by several reasons: MCS, chromatic aberrations, various processes in scintillator etc., and contribution of scintillator could be treated independently from other blurring sources. A method is reported to measure PSF of blurring caused by scintillator which is based on channeling of high-energy protons by bent crystals.
